Benchmade Meatcrafter 15505
Benchmade's 4" Meatcrafter shortens the trailing-point butchering profile to a 4.01" CPM-154 blade that weighs 2.71 oz. The 0.09" stock slices cleanly through hide and along bone. It is a narrow processing blade, not a camp knife for splitting kindling.

Why a trailing point
The spine sweeps upward so the tip finishes above the spine line, giving an unusually long, deep belly. That belly is everything for skinning and filleting: it keeps the edge in contact through a long slicing stroke.

Powder-made 154CM: same chemistry, finer grain, tougher in practice.
1-5 is a relative ranking drawn from published composition and hardness, not a lab measurement. Higher is better on every axis, and no steel is a 5 across the board — edge retention and toughness pull against each other. All CPM-154 knives
