The Raccoon in its cleaver profile — a tall, straight edge with the spine breaking down to a squared-off front — on micarta with a button lock, against the drop-point version's G-10 and crossbar. It is the only cleaver in the catalogue. There is no usable point, so it will not pierce; what it does instead is push-cut on a board better than anything else this size.

Why a cleaver

A tall, straight edge with a spine that runs flat and then breaks down to a squared-off front. There is no point to speak of, so it will not pierce, but the long straight edge and the depth above it make it the best shape here for push cuts on a board or a bench. Modern EDC cleavers are a style choice as much as a geometry one.
