What owners like

It earns its keep as a shop knife: one owner has used their CQC-7B daily for a long time building agricultural equipment, cutting hydraulic hoses, wire, gaskets, cardboard and zip ties, and says it beats a box cutter.
The chisel edge is quick to bring back: that shop owner gets it back to cutting hair in seconds and clears chips with a 300/600 stone, and another owner took a nick out of the 154CM edge in 5 to 10 minutes on a pocket sharpener and had it shaving again after stropping.
Its single-sided edge cuts better than people expect: one owner who had never owned a chisel-ground knife was surprised that it cuts like any other knife, and the shop owner says the cutting angle takes some getting used to but upkeep is outrageously easy.
It stays in the pocket for years: one owner has carried theirs for about a decade and says other knives keep losing out to it, and another calls the 7 their favorite Emerson.

Liner lock wear is a worry: one owner's liner moved from barely engaging to almost the middle of the blade in six days of moderate use, and another found the liners on their CQC-7 and Sheepdog wearing more with each use until rotating the stop pin and tightening the pivot helped slightly.
The chisel grind does not suit everyone: one admirer of the CQC-7's design does not like the chisel grind and wishes Emerson offered other grinds, and one otherwise happy owner says the grind is on the wrong side and hopes for a V-grind run.
